Grays Harbor Seaport

Chartered by the City of Aberdeen, Washington in October of 1986 Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority (GHHSA) is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3), Public Development Authority created to construct a Tall Ship Ambassador for Washington State, and to operate that vessel and others from a first class maritime heritage facility in Aberdeen, WA. The Tall Ship Lady Washington (a full scale reproduction of the first American vessel to visit the West Coast of North America, ca. 1788) was launched on schedule in March of 1989.

The revised mission of GHHSA as adopted by the Board of Directors on December 4, 2000 and reaffirmed each year since is: to provide educational, vocational, recreational and ambassadorial activities and experiences that promote and preserve the maritime history of Grays Harbor, the Pacific Northwest, and our nation while serving the needs of our community.
