13 Questions the Master Plan Seeks to Address

During the initial brainstorming the following questions were developed to be addressed during the master planning process.  Please review these questions:

1. What is the history of maritime transportation at South Lake Union?

2. How do we design interpretation that is exciting and compelling for kids?

3. How do we support visiting exhibits, particularly boats and vessels?

4. How do Maritime Heritage Organization's best preserve and exhibit their collections at South Lake Union Park?

5. How can Landmark vessels best be preserved and exhibited?

6. How can maritime exhibits and interpretation design support and encourage community involvement?

7. How can exhibits be connected to and integrated into the rest of the city?

8. How can exhibits be connected to and integrated into the rest of the region?

9. How will Native American people, culture and history be featured at South Lake Union Park?

10. What archival collections & materials exist regionally to support maritime exhibits and interpretation?

11. What natural history themes do we want to communicate in exhibits and interpretations?

12. How do we best exhibit and interpret active and recreation maritime working skills?

13. How do we best integrate boat rides into the interactive experience of historic vessels?
